New Officers Appointed for Oklahoma
State Insurance Funds Board of Managers
Okla. City, OK – By unanimous consent, on Tuesday, June 26th the Oklahoma State
Insurance Fund's Board of Managers elected Larry Parman as Chairman of the
Board of Managers for the State Insurance Fund. Larry Parman replaces Richard
Allen, Chairman of the Board and House Speaker appointee, for the last two years.
"I am gratified by the confidence of the Board of Managers. We will continue
the leadership shown by the Board and Richard [Allen]. As the assured market
for workers compensation insurance in Oklahoma, the Fund plays a significant
role in the health and stability of Oklahoma's economy. I look forward to
continuing this progress."
Mr. Parman has served on the Board since his appointment by Governor Keating in
February of 2000. He is founder and CEO of Parman & Associates, P.C., a regional
law firm headquartered in Oklahoma City that concentrates in estate and business planning.
Richard Allen, whose tenure as Chairman expired this month, was appointed Vice
Chairman by the board and President Pro Tempore of the Senate's appointee,
Bill McKamey, was appointed Secretary for a second term.
Effective July 1, the Oklahoma State Insurance Fund, currently the largest
workers' compensation insurance carrier in the state, will officially change
its name to CompSource Oklahoma.
