Comp insurer to cut rates
The Oklahoman
10/28/2005
The board of the states workers compensation insurer has approved a rate
cut of 5 percent beginning in February.
CompSource Oklahoma said the rate decrease came after the Legislature passed
workers comp reform earlier this year. It also reflected an improving loss
experience of CompSources 31,000 policyholders, said Jim Stergiou, actuary with
SGRisk Actuaries and Consultants.
CompSource tries to maintain stable workers comp rates while providing
financial stability for its policyholders, said Terry McCullar, CompSource
Oklahoma president.
